Men of Integrity
(Saturdays, 7:30-9:00 AM)
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! For there the LORD has commanded the blessing, life forevermore. (Psalm 133:1, 3b)
At Bethel Baptist, the ministry among men is centered around our deep commitment to these values:
Gospel
Scripture
Accountability
Prayer
Friendship
Ministry of the church
We believe that a steady and consistent combination of these among this small group of men nurtures and helps us grow in the likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that every man in our fellowship should aspire and intend to grow in the knowledge and teachings of the Word of God, and in Christ-like character with a view to becoming a deacon, a lay pastor or a Bible teacher in our church. We believe that we should be responsible and faithful members of our church, loving and caring husbands to our wives, exemplary fathers to our children, and irreproachable witnesses in the world for our Lord Jesus.
This does not mean that single men are not part of the men’s fellowship. They watch and grow and aspire to be within the influence of these godly men as fellow brothers.
The name “Men of Integrity” was adapted from a study we did many years ago because it challenged us to be consistent with what we profess and practice.
There has been a steady diet of biblical truths in the years past. In recent times, we completed Disciplines of a Godly Man (Kent Hughes), Do More Better (Tim Challis), Gods at War (Kyle Idelman), Marks of a Healthy Church (9Marks Minsitry) and The Measure of a Man (Gene Getz).
We love hanging out with each other, the nights out, enjoying meals together, and above all, exploring and deliberating issues that are either specific to men’s challenges, or those matters that concerns the life of the church. Each member of the men’s group is encouraged to have a prayer and accountability partner.
